Inspiring Change Through Literature and Media
Matt.8:24 (KJV) And, behold, there arose a great tempest… insomuch that the ship was covered … but he was asleep.
How could Jesus have slept peacefully in the midst of the tempest? How could He have hushed the raging storm to a calm- leaving the sea with no choice but to line up?
The answer is : Jesus was a man of peace!
Contrary to popular opinion, Peace is NOT the absence of trouble. Rather PEACE IS THE PRESENCE OF GOD, troublesome circumstances notwithstanding!
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Is. 26:3 (KJV)
And that is why the Bible describes the peace of God as a virtue which transcends human understanding.
In his book “Higher Ground”, R.T. Kendal mentioned that “a man of peace will defuse heated situations …because internally he has discovered and experienced “perfect peace” (Is.26:3)”
Would you like to become a man of peace?
It starts by anchoring your soul on Him in turbulent situations.
Your word says that You will give me peace which passes understanding when my mind is stayed on You circumstances regardless. (Is. 26:3)
Please grant me the grace to anchor my soul on You and to stay focused on Your words and precious promises, especially in turbulent times. Amen.
