Day 22: The Sluggards’ Square

Proverbs 26:14, 16 (KJV) As the door turneth upon hi s hinges, so doth the slothful upon his bed… The sluggard is wiser in his own conceit than seven men that can render a reason.

Anyone who is stuck to the same way of doing things might be nurturing a slothful attitude unawares.

The slothful attitude ties men to a spot in life. It is the evil which lurks behind activity without productivity, movement without motion, busyness without result or profit – ever travelling, but never arriving.

Bad things shouldn’t happen to good people.

The slothful man or sluggard is NOT necessarily lazy. The problem is that he’s got attitudinal challenges…

If anyone is hopelessly stuck to the same level in life, and rather annoyingly too- considering his level of intelligence, knowledge, diligence, expertise, exposure and maybe even righteousnessΒ  (in his own sight especially), then chances are that he is resistant to change.
