Day 26: Analyse Your Environment

John Ruskin has rightly said that “The highest reward for a person’s toil is not what they get for it, but what they become by it.”

Hence, it has become very imperative to take a quick but critical and honest look at our current work environments (and this means the entire people, tools and job roles or processes mix.)

In this regard, the following kinds of work environments exist:

There is the one in which day to day operations challenge and train the individual to improve on his present role.

There is another where daily operations build up capacity by stretching the individual beyond the demands of his current role, as well as exposing him to trends beyond the four walls of his office or even the confines of his industry.
