Day 30 :Time Not To Faint…

Jas.5:13 (KJV) Is any among you afflicted? let him pray.

Is any man afflicted, oppressed, or in agony?

Then it’s not time to faint or lose heart. Rather, it’s time to pray, and that much more than ever before!

And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;Lk.18:1 (KJV)

Jesus admonished that we should rather pray over life’s predicaments than faint, lose heart or even gather pity parties.

Afterwards, He went ahead to demonstrate this when His closest friends and He faced the agony of death in the Garden of Gethsemane.

And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground. Luk. 22:44 (KJV)

The disciples were overwhelmed and therefore slept for sorrow. Jesus however, being in an agony, prayed more earnestly- so much that He literally sweated blood! You can imagine the passion and fervency!

Has life taken a turn you neither enjoy nor understand? Then don’t faint or lose heart. It’s not time to sigh, panic or languish in pain.

Rather, it’s time to pray much more- like never before!

Thank You Lord for teaching me that when life takes a turn I do not understand nor enjoy, I’m not to fret nor faint, but to give it all to You like never before. Please help me to live by Your example. Amen.
