At the ABC Auto Parts Company employees work in teams. When a line doesn’t have enough parts, the workers are sent to other lines to prevent redundancy.
Shade is a complainer. She whines all the time.
She is sent to a new line for the day. Ade welcomes her with a warm smile and says, “We’re glad to have you on our team today. We like having people from other departments.”
“This isn’t what I was hired to do.” Shade answers, “I’m only here because I have to be!”
Complainers are a drain on the people they work and live with! Moreover, the complaining attitude will stop the flow of favour towards you both from God and men!
Ade tries to explain the work on the line. But every time he says something, Shade whines. Ade decides to make the best of it.
At break time, several other team members mentioned to Ade about how much Shade nags.
Later in the day, the line stops while more parts are brought in. Shade whines, “This is stupid! Why can’t management get it right? I’d rather be paid to do nothing!”
When the line gets up and running again, Shade whines that she was just getting comfortable,
“…and there’s only an hour and a half left in the day anyway!”
Ade tells her she is needed back on the line because a customer is waiting for an order. Tomorrow, he says, she will go back to her own department and do her own job.
The next day, Shade finds herself in Ade’s team again. She starts whining right away!
Complainers never obtain and grumblers are always grounded. The more you complain, the less you see the opportunities around.
