Day 88: Just One More Touch…

Mark 8:23-25 (GW) Jesus …spit into the man’s eyes and placed his hands on him…(and) asked him, “Can you see anything?” The man looked up and said, “I see people. They look like trees walking around.” Then Jesus placed his hands on the man’s eyes a second time, and the man saw clearly. His sight was normal again. He could see everything clearly even at a distance.

Why do you go
“Will I ever be made whole?”
When despite a touch from Me
You still see men
As trees?

Why do you keep
When I’m still busy
Working out
That very thing you wish?

Why do you go
When you can’t trace Me
In your frantic search
Through the dark?

Whilst My sole desire
Is to hear your voice
Call out to Me-

And all My longing
Is to reach out
And touch you
Over and over
As many times as I please…?

My promises
Should be
Assurance enough…
For I rejoice over you
With singing

Give thanks instead
Then ask for
Another touch… and yet another…
And watch Me
Perfect it all
Unto My glory

Lord, when the problem still seems to remain in spite of my prayers, please strengthen my confidence enough to NOT give up but rather pray again for Your second touch, and to NOT stop coming back for Your touch over and over till I’m made whole. Amen.
